The campaign remains focused on Shanghai.<br /> <br /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"> <p class="txt_Main_1"> &nbsp;"The Chinese market is highly receptive to the New Zealand message and they are interested in travel to New Zealand, which they see as safe, scenic and a total change from life in the busy city," said Mark Frood, Tourism New Zealand's R&nbsp;Directly after the final phase of the brand campaign on 9 February 2009, weekly user sessions rose by 2,868 per cent from the week before, and reached a record high of 418,772 weekly user sessions in week commencing 23 February 2009. <br /> <br /> Mark Frood said there was a strong online component to the campaign because there was good 'cut through' into New Zealand s target market, which were highly computer literate. <br /> <br /> "We are going into market now because we want to make sure that we have good momentum in the build up to the October national holiday and the New Zealand summer," Mark Frood said. Arrivals from China have been volatile recently because of the effect of the Influenza (H1N1) virus (Swine Flu) on outbound travel. <br /> <br /> In June, arrivals were down 50 per cent and down by 40 per cent in July. "What we have seen is that the fully and semi-independent traveller market has been much more resilient through this period than the group tour market.
