NOTICE is given pursuant to Clause 3.5 CANZBC Rules that a Special General Meeting is to be held as follows:

Location: NZ Maori Tourism Council Board Room, Level 7 Munro Benge House, 104 The Terrace Wellington

Business to be transacted:

• Item 1
  In order to promote the efficient operation of the Society, the Board recommends that the following resolutions be put to the special general meeting, to amend the CANZBC Rules :

1. That Clause 2.8 Annual Subscription Fees - be amended to read "The annual subscription fee is payable in advance on the 1 April each year"
2. That Schedule 1 - be replaced by Part 1: Nomination for Membership Form.
3. That Clause 3.5 Notice of Meetings - be amended to read "At least 14 days before the date fixed for a general meeting of the Society, the secretary must send each Member of the Society a notice by electronic mail or by post specifying the place, date and time of the meeting and the nature of the business to be transacted at it. The notice must be sent to the addresses noted in the register of Members
4. That Clause 5.15 Notices - be amended to read " A notice or other document may be served on a Member of the Society personally, by electronic mail or by post to the Member at the address shown on the register of Members. A notice or other document sent by electronic mail or by post is to be treated as having been given to the Person at the time the letter would have been delivered in the ordinary course of the post".
5. That Clause 2.7 be removed from the Rules

  In order to keep CANZBC members informed, the Board will present the Board's Statement of Intent 2008-2011 and associated priority actions.
